What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory / Receiving Warehouse Clerk position at TOPS Staffing?
TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find an experienced Inventory Specialist to add to their growing team. The Inventory Specialist will monitor stocking levels, verify orders, perform inventory movement, track and transact orders/shipments in order to meet customer commitments.
Seeking candidates with 3 years of experience working inventory in a production or manufacturing environment to qualify for this opportunity.
Job Details:
Direct Hire Opportunity
Afternoon shift
Hours: 3pm to 11pm
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - Occasional weekend when needed.
Pay rate: Up to $25 per hour including a $1.50 per hour shift differential
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors.
Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
Provides inventory reports to purchasing and operations management.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
