Job Title: Road Striper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Parking Lot Striping Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing potential projects, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring that all projects are completed within budget and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Evaluation:
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather relevant information.
• Cost Estimation:
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and other costs required for parking lot striping projects.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including pricing for line striping, pavement markings, signage, and related services.
• Analyze bid documents and prepare competitive proposals for submission.
• Client Interaction:
• Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, address concerns, and provide recommendations.
• Present and explain cost estimates to clients, answering any questions they may have.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to secure projects.
• Vendor Coordination:
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Project Management Support:
• Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with project timelines and budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and budgets based on the estimates provided.
• Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or market conditions.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, and contracts.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on estimating activities to management.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
• A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in estimating, preferably in parking lot striping, paving, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of parking lot striping techniques, materials, and industry standards.
• Skills:
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certification in construction estimating or project management (preferred).

Work Environment:

• Combination of office work and field visits.
• May require occasional travel to project sites.
