Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Cherry Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and accurately picking orders using cherry picker equipment, ensuring that products are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker equipment to retrieve products from high storage locations.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in training new team members on safe operation of cherry pickers and other equipment as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
