THE OPPORTUNITY: 

The Vice President of Catalog and Partner Integrations will lead the development of world-class catalog architecture and manage strategic partner integrations to drive Transend Auto Tech's growth. This role will oversee the catalog team, establish centralized catalog services, and ensure a high-quality catalog that enhances customer experiences and internal operations. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision, expertise in automotive content standards, and strong industry partnerships to deliver measurable results.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Catalog Leadership and Operations

  • Design and implement a cutting-edge catalog architecture to ensure Transend and NMG have the most accurate, up-to-date and usable Transmission and General Repair product catalog.
  • Develop reporting systems to monitor catalog quality, identify gaps, and drive improvements.
  • Establish centralized catalog services in support of NMG business units.  Develop integration playbooks to streamline catalog onboarding of new acquisitions and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in product management, procurement and logistics to support smarter decision making by providing accurate master data and actionable catalog-related insights. 
  • Partner with our product team to create and maintain the industry’s best transmission catalog.

Partnership Development and Integration

  • Ensure seamless integration of catalog data with shop management systems and other external platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with 3rd-party integrators, shop management systems, and data providers to optimize catalog quality and usability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure their content is delivered in standardized, acceptable formats that minimize the need for manual processing, streamlining ingestion and integration into the catalog. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of catalog content to retailer and other partners. 

Product Development Support

  • Partner with the Transend software development team to make it fast and easy for our customers to find the parts they need. Ensure catalog content performs optimally in search and enhances the user experience on Transend’s platform.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to our software development team on ACES and PIES data structures, best practices and industry nuances to enhance usability and relevance. 
  • Deliver advanced content formats, such as vector diagrams, to enhance usability and product functionality.
  • Collaborate on API development and data sharing tools to support rapid deployment of new features on Transend and 3rd party platforms.

Strategic Vision and Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of modern catalog technologies, including AI-driven tools, GraphDB, advanced PIM systems, or vector-based content formats to enhance performance, scalability and innovation.
  • Align catalog architecture with e-commerce and ERP integration needs to support evolving business goals.
  • Stay ahead of trends in cataloging, data integration, and product information management to ensure Transend remains at the forefront of the industry.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 10 years in catalog management, product information systems, or data integration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in ACES/PIES standards, cataloging tools, advanced data formats, and API integrations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong understanding of catalog metrics and their relationship to sales and operational performance.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive innovation in cataloging and integration.  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in AI, data science, or technology are a plus.
  • Industry: Involvement in AutoCare’s ACPN or Technical Standards Committee is a plus.
