The Facilities Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the functionality and aesthetic appeal of our
distillery facilities. This hands-on position ensures that all buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are
well-maintained, safe, and operational. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers with broad
maintenance skills and a "can-do" attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure
- compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building
- components.
- Handle basic carpentry tasks, including door adjustments, furniture repairs, and shelving
- installations.
- Paint and touch up walls, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
- Maintain and repair small machinery and tools.
- Ensure the upkeep of exterior areas, including landscaping, snow removal, and general cleaning.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Oversee and assist with facility upgrades and renovations.
- Work closely with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and supplies inventory.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a handyman, facilities technician, or similar role.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 lbs) and work in various environments.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
