Position: We are seeking an experienced Heavy Highway / Underground Utilities Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main installations and replacements. This role will involve overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from daily planning to implementation under the direction of the superintendent.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors to maintain quality standards.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Ensure safe working conditions in varying soil conditions using proper underground safety and shielding equipment.
- Document all daily activities and other essential paperwork related to project progress.
- Utilize electronic devices to track and document project progress and changes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction management and laboring, specifically with heavy highway work and underground utilities (sanitary and storm sewers, water main installations, and replacements).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- If not already a union member, you may be affiliated with Local 18 or Local 860.
Compensation: Pay will be discussed based on prior experience. Benefits include competitive compensation, health coverage, and a company vehicle. An in-person interview is required prior to appointment.

Application Question(s):
- Underground utility experience is REQUIRED. Position required knowledge in trench safety, utility locating, installation waterline, sanitary ect.
- Experience working in on and around heavy highways in REQUIRED. Most jobsites are located in active traffic zones in/on residential, main and highway streets with a varying amount of flowing traffic.
License/Certification:
