Process receipts, payments, and other accounting entries using the company’s Financial Management System (FMS);Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions, including cash collections, invoice payments, contract encumbrances, and sales & use tax accruals;Support the contracting process and creation / tracking of OP / PO / ACs for the Department;Assist in managing cash flows and coordinating timely payments of AP items;Coordinate and report financial information regarding Department contracts;Interface with staff from other departments and contractors, giving, receiving, and verifying financial data quality, accuracy, and applicability;Work closely with the Principal Accountant, other fiscal team members, and the Company’s Finance Department to maintain compliance with the requirements of the Company’s policies and processes for Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableAssist in reconciliations and month-end close activities, accruals, and reporting;Support the receipt, deposit, and tracking for SJCE’s accounts receivablesAssist in the development of department-specific financial management policies and procedures, as needed.
