Quality Process Control Engineer

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Quality Process Control Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Process Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on ensuring that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly and to the highest standards. Since 1945, TCMF has made innovative, as well as necessary changes in the way we conduct everyday business. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long.

Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

Position Overview

• Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality control standards, guidelines, and procedures in production processes.
• Work with Quality, Sales, and other functions to implement new production processes and improve existing ones.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of process defects, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
• Verify pricing to ensure it matches a purchase order; input pricing into Quality Review flow screen.
• Quality Review all orders planned by order entry.
• Build specifications into the system and adjust appropriate steps to match the process.
• Build new processes and input assets and instructions into each step.
• Planning of parts that are not setup on an auto-plan which includes verifying new parts and ensuring proper pricing and ensure we have the capabilities to process the new part.
• Complete pricing adjustments for yearly increases.
• Create rules to ensure parts or specs are associated with the correct process.
• Use Quality standards to improve day-to-day process variation.
• Assist with, develop and maintain QA Documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.

• Experience:
  • Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven Quality Control Experience: Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Clear communication is essential for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

Total Compensation Package:

• Wage
  • $55,000 - $60,000 per year.
  • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
