Summary
The position is responsible for production of various monthly financial and operational reporting as well as support of assigned cost centers to create and manage budgets and forecast expenses. The Financial Analyst is expected to have an understanding of the mortgage industry in order to help with strategic analytics and business case support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely and accurate aggregation of internal management reports.
- Work closely with and occasionally support accounting department in various functions, including financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
- Develop relationships with the cost center owners to understand the dynamics of the business. Assist division with strong analysis and support during the annual budget and monthly / quarterly forecasting periods.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, working with cost center owners to develop expense plans and manage variances throughout the year.
- Develop an overall understanding of the strategic and tactical operations of the company.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for Senior Management.
- Perform cost analysis of products, services, programs and departments.
- Continually review methodologies and processes to improve and enhance results within the finance department and within the supported business unit.
- Work with other departments to ensure end-to-end workflow and processes are effective and efficient.
- Promote honest and open communication throughout the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
