Role: Interim Accounting Leader
Location: Onsite near Chicago Ridge, IL (5 days/week)
Compensation: $40 - $45/hr. (Based on experience)
Work schedule: 9-5pm (close at 4pm during month of March)
Duration: 2-3 months
Start: As early as the week of February 17th
Overview:
Our Nonprofit client is looking for an Interim Accounting Leader to help with leadership, oversee accounting and grant management, and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and cash flow management.
- Lead grant accounting and fund management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and tracking restricted vs. unrestricted funds.
- Manage payroll, expense tracking, and employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, including IRS requirements and audit processes.
- Implement and maintain financial systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Nonprofit accounting experience, with the ability to distinguish between restricted and unrestricted funds required.
- Experience with grant management required.
- An individual who learns quickly and remains calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to translate financial data for non-financial staff.
- Experience with QuickBooks needed and strong Excel skills
