Tuell-McKee Funeral home in Tacoma is looking to hire an on-call (nights/weekends/holidays) Removal Technician. Our removal techs are professional and caring people who respond to death calls after hours, going to the place of death and bringing loved ones into our care.

Pay is per call, $45 for a removal within Pierce County and $55 for out of county removals (King, Kitsap) Weekend on-call shifts are 24 hours. Weeknight shifts are 5pm-8am the following day. There is some flexibility with scheduling to accommodate other work or school schedules, which can be discussed during the interview. No prior experience is necessary but those with experience in EMT/Nursing are especially encouraged to apply as well as mortuary school students and anyone with an interest in funeral service. Qualified candidates will be:

*Good driving record and valid driver's license

*Be able to pass a background check

*Be able to lift and maneuver 75 - 100 lbs without assistance, upper body strength is necessary

*Will live within a 30 minute drive of our funeral home

*Will have a CONSERVATIVE appearance, natural colored hair, no visible piercings or tattoos, tasteful earrings are ok.
