$2,040.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2,040.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE.
This position is responsible for completing carpentry, mold remediation, painting, and electrical work, including but not limited to the proper and safe use and operation of the associated powered or hand tools of the trade, general maintenance, repair, replacement, fabrication, installation, and alteration. Performs general carpentry, minor electrical on classroom fixtures, such as setting limit switches on motorized shades, aisle lighting troubleshooting and other needs (PM or otherwise) and has responsibility for doing a great deal of planning to ensure minimal impact on students, faculty and staff while performing duties and responsibilities in classrooms.
Position also provides focused support for Bio-Safety Level (BSL) 2 and 3 labs.
Position is responsible for other building maintenance within the Carpentry Shop in Building Services for the repair of existing classroom seating (fixed and movable), handrails, stair repairs, classroom fixtures & brackets, bathroom fixtures, exterior bollards, and the fabrication of necessary components, as they are able.
Position will document water intrusion and emergency response events as they occur, tracking all remediation equipment deployed, duration of placement and confirmation of return to shop upon completion of use.
