United Martial Arts Center Transportation Mission Statement
To provide a safe and efficient transportation program to all UMAC students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe environment on your vehicle, and operate the vehicle in a professional manner.
- Provide pre and post trip inspections as required by the State of Florida.
- Inspect vehicle daily for any mechanical defects and for adequate fuel and fluid levels.
- Notify management of any discrepancies found during routine inspections.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record, while maintaining Driver's license and CDL certification intact.
- Obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws, and ensure the safety of all passengers.
- Follow and enforce all disciplinary guidelines as set forth by management.
- Maintain discipline when students are aboard your vehicle and report undisciplined students to management.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of your assigned vehicle.
Qualifications:
- All applicants must possess a valid Florida CDL License in good standing.
- All applicants must possess an acceptable driving record.
- All applicants must have the ability to pass a thorough background screening. We are a drug-free employer.
- Applicant should have prior knowledge of local streets, highways, landmarks, and schools located within their assigned route.
- Applicant must maintain a professional image compatible with UMAC guidelines.
- Must have a willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Must have the ability to solve problems involving students, school personnel, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.
- Must have the ability and the willingness to substitute for any driver in the Transportation Department.
- Demonstrate integrity on a personal and professional level.
Hours: Employees must be available to work Monday through Friday; from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
