SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Quality Control Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products. You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure inspections of finished goods are completed in a timely manner. While using various techniques, meticulous attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the highest standards for our products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Inspection and Reporting:
- Conduct final inspections of products received from vendors, identifying defects and initiating non-conforming material reports in accordance with company policy and accepted quality standards.
- Document and communicate inspection results timely and accurately and maintain records of defects found.
- Conduct detailed inspections when necessary to report product quality, and assist with the disposition of products.
- Perform shipping inspections/audits as needed to guarantee the quality of outgoing products.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate with various departments, including Product Development, Distribution, and the Customer Engagement Center (CEC), regarding inspection defects, non-conforming reports, and product quality concerns.
- Collaborate with Managers, Coordinators, and Supervisors to ensure the maintenance of a safe working environment and the continuous improvement of product quality.
Documentation and Improvement:
- Maintain expiration date audits and handle product disposition.
- Assist in the development and improvement of assembly (kits) documentation and work instructions.
- Maintain inspection documentation (Sales Force cases, inspection, and non-conformance reports).
- Participate in problem-solving solutions to enhance product quality and compliance.
Compliance and Safety:
- Conduct initial inbound inspections and inspections in process to uphold quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in hot and cold environments, at heights, and when lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using measurement and inspection techniques.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Basic computer skills and the ability to comprehend written instructions, specifications, and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education/Experience
- High school or technical school education or equivalent, with a focus on mathematics.
