Summary Of Job Duties
The UA Little Rock Bowen School of Law operates a Legal Clinic, which is a law firm within the law school that provides legal services to low-income Arkansans. The Legal Clinic is staffed by supervising attorneys, and the attorneys work with law students to provide services to clients. The Clinic offers representation in several areas, including family law, tax law, consumer protection, veterans' benefits, mediation of various types of legal disputes, and advice to small businesses and entrepreneurs. The Program Coordinator is a 12-Month, full-time position that provides administrative support to clinical faculty and programs as assigned by the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning and Clinical Programs and by the Clinic Managing Attorney. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support in the day-to-day operations of a busy law office held within a University setting as well as execute the vision and direction of the Law School Dean and the Law School Associate Dean for Experiential Learning and Clinical Programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
- The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree;
- Two years of experience in business office practices or program administration;
- Other job-related education or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements.
- Prior work experience as an administrative assistant in a law office;
- Ability to use law office case-management systems;
- Qualifications necessary to become certified as a Notary Public.
- Assist the Clinic's supervising attorneys with their clients and teaching responsibilities;
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents;
- Create and maintain client and case files using case-management software;
- Use case management software to screen new clients for potential conflicts of interest;
- Prepare and process travel and reimbursement documents for Clinic supervising attorneys and students;
- Prepare check requests for Clinic supervising attorneys;
- Prepare applications for students to represent clients under the Arkansas student practice rule;
- Prepare and mail regular and certified mail;
- Order office supplies, as needed;
- Answer clinic telephones, route calls, take messages, check clients in for meetings with supervising attorneys and students;
- Respond to members of the public who come to the Clinic with walk-in inquiries about legal questions;
- Compile data and prepares reports from Clio case-management system to document numbers of clients served, cases handled, and students enrolled;
- Perform monthly reconciliation of clinic's litigation account and IOLTA account;
- Compile documentation and prepares monthly report for law school budget director on reconciliation of clinic bank accounts;
- Notarize documents;
- Assist with the student application and enrollment processes for all clinic, externship, and practicum courses;
- Assist in maintaining budget spreadsheets and tracking expenditures for clinical programs;
- Handle other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning and Clinical Programs and the Clinic Managing Attorney;
- Attend applicable trainings to keep up-to-date and improve job performance.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and university rules, regulations, and procedures;
- Assist in maintaining Clinic office policies and procedures;
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with common goals as part of a team;
- Ability and willingness to take the initiative in learning and integrating knowledge of office procedures;
- Ability to use Google mail (gmail) and Google docs;
- Ability to use Clio Legal Practice Management software;
- Knowledge of office-management practices;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to conduct all interactions with the public with the utmost civility, professionalism, and empathy;
