What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Admissions Representative position at University of West Los Angeles?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Admissions Representative will be responsible for initial outbound and inbound admissions and recruitment correspondences with perspective students. This includes spending time on recruitment activities as approved prior by their supervisor, including but not limited to; attending on and off-campus recruitment events such as graduate education fairs, maintaining admissions files, and updating spreadsheets relating to inbound students. The position may also require the representative to engage in corporate recruitment functions, networking opportunities, information sessions, online events, and other initiatives that will contribute to building a pipeline of leads. The Admissions Representative will also be responsible for responding to web inquiries and scheduling campus tours.
- Communicating with prospective students to request additional information or documentation. Evaluating and processing student applications, including reviewing transcripts, test scores, recommendation letters, and essays.
- Serving as the main point of contact for prospective students, answering questions via email, phone, or in person.
- Maintaining and updating records of prospective and current applicants in the admissions database.
- Inputs daily lead information into CRM.
- Participate in on-campus and online events; assist with Open House and enrollment as directed by supervisor.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent organizational, communication, listening and interpersonal skills, in addition to proficiency in Microsoft Office, and database and software applications. Ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural/multi-ethnic environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience in an academic admissions role.
COMPENSATION: $35.00 per hour. Health benefits package.
