JOB TITLE:
Office Associate
JOB PURPOSE:
Perform advanced office and administrative/management support tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor all systems in terms of confidentiality and efficiency.
- Evaluate office procedures and assist with creating effective systems.
- Manage the appointment schedule for multiple advisors, arrange events, and meetings.
- Perform administrative tasks and projects. analyze, process and maintain information as required.
- Assist supervisor by researching problems and providing resolution(s) as directed.
- Organize data and prepare complex reports.
- May perform a variety of marketing, public relations, and special event projects and tasks.
- Proofread, edit, and format various documents.
- Coordinate special projects with office team as needed.
- Complete state required paperwork for teaching licenses.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create, maintain, update, and evaluate office databases.
- Create, monitor, and maintain CoESSC web page.
- Stay current of computer technology, hardware, and software with department.
- Serve as administrator for passwords and permissions for CoESSC technology.
- Troubleshoot and work with UW Information Technology.
- Perform special projects, as directed.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2 years progressively responsible work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: None
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates or bachelor's degree.
- Experience and familiarity working in settings with confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Experience in answering phones.
- Experience with both paper and electronic records management.
- Ability to work independently (including problem solving and independent judgement)
- Demonstration of commitment to teamwork, including ability to manage disagreements and communicate well during problem solving.
