What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Clerk position at UPG?
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate bills of material, route instructions and ensure accuracy in SAP system
- Create and manage engineering documents and work instructions, where applicable
- Assist with tracking of Engineering and Production metrics
- Documenting meeting notes and report preparation
- Prepare quality documents i.e. material certificates
- Prepare purchase orders in SAP
Qualifications
- High proficiency in Microsoft suite
- Associate’s degree in engineering, technical discipline or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes especially metal fabrication
Other beneficial skills
- Lean tools, like Six Sigma a plus
- Familiarity with formal Quality management system (ISO) a plus
- Ability to read and interpret 2D Drawings, and knowledge of GD&T a plus
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system a plus
Salary Range: 45,000 - 55,000 depending on experience and/or technical skills
