Medical Office Assistant - Patient Care MOA
Job Description:
Assists doctors with procedures, preps patients for injections. Capable of anticipating doctor's needs as well as the patient's. Performs on a multi-task level. Proficients in utilizing EPIC for the following tasks: orders, changing providers, making appointments, changing appointments, checking patients out, recording administered injections using the MAR, use of quick disclosure. Proper intake of patients including marking as reviewed and associated documentation in the system for the following areas and as measured by meaningful use reports: vital signs, medications, updating pharmacy, history to include smoking status. Reviews patient charts for completion prior to patient session. Reviews MD schedule in advance of patient day to determine patient flow or overbooking issues. Works closely with secretarial counterpart to address chart/scheduling issues. Capable of maintaining sterile instruments and proper use of autoclave. Cleans and restocks patient rooms. Willingly performs other assignments and duties as requested by his/her supervisor.
Full time - 8 hour day
Monday-Friday
