Denial Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating the appeals process for Medicare, RAC denials, and third party payer denial appeals. The Analyst is responsible for all activities related to resolving, monitoring, and appealing claim denials received. Collaborates with internal staff in the identification of denials, appeals and corrective actions to maximize reimbursement. Works with management to improve processes and quality of data to minimize denials and reductions in reimbursement.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma. Advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Hospital Billing/collections experience required
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Excellent written, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills required. Skills must include Excel, Word and other software programs. Computer use and written communication are key skills for this job.
