Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including the general ledger, balance sheet, and income statement.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow, with a focus on credit card payment processing and reconciliations.
- Assist with audits and internal controls, ensuring compliance with SOX and other relevant accounting standards.
- Perform technical accounting research and analysis to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Prepare and review payroll and other financial reports.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with other accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve financial reporting and internal controls.
Skills
- Experience with financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of credit card payment processing and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of public accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with cash flow analysis and general ledger accounting.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including the ability to research and apply technical accounting standards.
- Experience with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
