Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about technology and eager to start a career in IT support. The IT Help Desk Technician will be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical issues and will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving basic hardware and software problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of the points of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access control.
- Document and track all support requests in the help desk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end-users.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
- Provide guidance and support for software installations and updates.
- Assist in maintaining IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures. Along with maintaining IT inventory.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the IT department.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and common software applications.

Physical Demands
