Varstaff is currently searching for the following:
HR Technology Team is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in program
and project management as well as HR systems, such as Workday.
This role will lead mission-critical HR projects such as the implementation of a new Timekeeping system
and the other initiatives related to company expansion. The Project Manager will deliver hands-on high-
impact project management. You will lead HR and HRIS projects from inception to completion, guiding
cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring successful project delivery. This role focuses
on aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals to support business transformation.
In this role, the Project Manager must:
Be capable and comfortable leading all aspects of complex Organizational Change efforts and
large system implementation projects
Build strong relationships across multiple functional areas such as HR COE teams, Enterprise
Technology, Finance & Accounting and Operations teams.
Guide teams through complex projects—establishing the structure and cadence for integrated
team activities.
Lead cross-functional teams through requirement gathering, documentation, integration,
testing and communications.
Partner with vendors – both implementation service partners as well as HR system and asset
providers.
Expert level knowledge in the System implementation lifecycle
Be the single point leader for critical stages of a system implementation project lifecycle, such as
the set-up and facilitation of all phases of Testing.
Responsibilities:
This role is resopnsible for providing thought leadership, expertise and hands-on management of the
following activities and outcomes:
Define the Project charter, establish operating rhythms and overall program structure
Establish and enforce project governance mechanisms around decision making and
escalation
Lead the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules
for large and extra large projects involving multiple workstreams
Establish mechanisms for Risk and Issue Management
Provide status reporting to all levels of leadership including company Senior Leadership
Team
Lead through all stages of the system development life cycle for highly complex, integrated
HRIS projects (Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation,
Maintenance)
Maintain a focus on the project’s stated business case and provide mechanisms for the
capture of Benefits Realization during and after the implementation of deliverables
Facilitate gap analysis exercises of current state vs. future state capabilities
Lead the implementation of complex operational solutions in Workday and other HRIS
systems.
Qualifications
10 years HR project management experience
Has advised and supported clients through Workday system migrations, upgrades, and
implementations
Experience in reviewing HR and Finance processes for efficiencies
