We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for veterinary services.
- Handle incoming calls, providing information about services, answering questions, and addressing client concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical collection processes.
- Assist veterinary staff with patient intake, including gathering medical history and performing basic assessments.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Support the veterinary team with tasks related to animal handling, including dog handling and basic grooming when needed.
- Provide education to pet owners on animal husbandry practices and general pet care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and basic veterinary procedures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care practices is a plus.
- Skills in medical collection processes are beneficial.
- Experience with equine care or pet grooming is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during visits.
