GPS Dozer and Trencher Operator

Job Summary:
The GPS Dozer and Trencher Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment equipped with GPS technology to perform precision grading, trenching, and excavation tasks. This role requires expertise in handling equipment for underground utility installations and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate GPS-enabled dozers and trenchers for excavation, grading, and trenching tasks.
• Ensure accurate implementation of project specifications using GPS systems.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and ensure the equipment is in safe and operational condition.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to achieve project goals.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
• Maintain detailed logs of work performed and communicate progress to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating GPS-enabled dozers and trenchers in a construction setting.
• Familiarity with GPS machine control systems (e.g., Trimble).
• Knowledge of underground utility construction processes and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and project plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
