Vesta Foodservice is looking for a passionate food enthusiast to join our Southern California Sales Team. Comprised of dynamic sales talents that eagerly engage with customers about our quality products, industry leading services, and innovative solutions, our Sales Team is obsessed with providing a positive customer experience every day.

Headquartered in Southern California, Vesta Foodservice is the leading distributor of fresh produce, dairy, and specialty grocery items. We serve some of the most prestigious restaurants, hotels and food service operations in Northern California, Southern California, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Hawaii. Primary Responsibilities

· Ensure current customers have an excellent experience with our company, products, and services

o Develop a relationship of mutual trust with the customers

o Be committed to the customer’s success

o Have a clear understanding of the customer’s business needs to ensure the company is providing the appropriate products and business solutions

o Expand knowledge of products and applications

o Participate in training opportunities

o Stay current with produce market conditions and trends

o Communicate information on new products, new vendors, market conditions, training opportunities, customer events, farm tours, schedule changes

o Regularly review customer profiles and usages to find value opportunities

o Be available to address issues and use creativity and resourcefulness to solve them

o Ensure all customers are satisfied on a daily basis

· Develop new customers

o Stay current with restaurant openings and other industry developments

o Pitch company products, services, and solutions to prospective customers

o Conduct tours of the distribution facility

o Prepare and execute comprehensive product evaluations

o Clearly communicate the company’s value proposition

· Be a good Vesta team member

o Maintain effective, professional relationships with team members in other departments to ensure integrated solutions to help our customers

o Work closely with Sales Manager and teammates to support company and regional initiatives

o Participate in customer events, farm tours, other marketing/promotion activities, and team building activities

o Submit required company documents on time

o Help with the training of new employees as requested

o Be adaptable and open to learning and change

· Meet company sales objectives

Desired Skills and Experience

· Has shown success in a sales role

o Lead generation/qualification

o Quickly develops trust with customers

o Loyal customer base

o Increasing sales with existing customers

· Excellent work record with strong references from current/previous employers

· Able to work well within a team and independently

· Business or Culinary degree is a plus

· Previous Foodservice experience is a plus

· Strong planning and organizational skills

· Attention to details

· Disciplined follow through

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong math skills

· Proficiency in computer software, e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Google Sheets, etc.

· Requires working non-traditional hours

o Ability to be on call evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Requires driving personal car to visit customer and attend events

o Dependable vehicle

o Safe driving record

o Proof of insurance

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
