Position Overview:
We seek a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will perform various tasks related to low-voltage systems, including assembly, wiring, device programming, quality checks, forklift operations, documentation, leading projects, and managing project timelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and possesses excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Assembly: Assemble low voltage systems and components according to provided specifications, blueprints, or technical documentation. Ensure accurate placement and secure connections of various components.
Wiring: Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring systems, including cables, connectors, and control panels. Ensure proper routing and labeling of wires to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
Device Programming: Program and configure low voltage devices such as security systems, access control systems, CCTV cameras, and audiovisual equipment. Test and verify the proper functionality of programmed devices.
Quality Checks: Conduct thorough quality checks on installed systems and components to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer requirements. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Forklift Operations: Safely operate a forklift to transport materials, equipment, and tools as required. A forklift certification will be provided.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or technical training in low-voltage systems are preferred.
Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician, including proficiency in assembly, wiring, and device programming.
Knowledge of low voltage systems, including security systems, access control, CCTV, and audiovisual equipment.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes, such as NEC and local regulations.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues.
Experience with forklift operations and possession of a valid forklift operator certification.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and quality checks.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
