What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician/CDL A position at Viaero Wireless?
As a Maintenance Technician/Driver for Industrial Communications West, you will take on a variety of tasks that include helping maintain fleet vehicles, helping warehouse with deliveries, operating equipment, and performing other various construction tasks. This position will require mechanical knowledge, heavy equipment operating experience, a Class A CDL, as well as critical thinking.
Primary responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fleet maintenance issues
- Perform repairs on vehicles and equipment, as needed
- Perform standard preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain shop records, reflecting the type of repair(s), parts used, job orders, etc.
- Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to vehicle users
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Operate heavy equipment: Skid loader, excavator, telehandlers, boom truck, etc.
- Deliver tower/site facilities/tech/other construction materials/equipment to work site
- Transfer materials between warehouses in Colorado and Nebraska
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 year of age or older, per insurance requirements.
- Class A CDL
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
- Understands methods, procedures, tools, and equipment necessary to perform various repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Ability to travel throughout the region, as needed for deliveries, which may include some overnight stays.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment checks/tests, including MVR, criminal background and substance screens.
