Overview

Design, implement, and maintain data analysis methods for Microsoft SQL-based data system with a focus upon Viewpoint Vista ERP and related systems. Candidate will also work with the internal IT team to perform systems administration tasks to maintain and ensure the health and integrity of the servers that host the Viewpoint ERP and related systems.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis and communicate/visualize data for end-users using SAP Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
  • Manage and contribute to complex technical and business projects requiring advanced technical or industry knowledge
  • Research, specify, test, and implement technical solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of companies based upon business goals, user needs, strategic plans with an emphasis on cost control and integration with existing systems
  • Establish, implement, document, and communicate technology integration and reporting strategies
  • Collaborate with development partners to develop solutions
  • Stay on top of industry trends, new products and solutions, and upcoming external factors that could impact business solutions
  • Serve as a resource to end users and management to provide the most accurate analysis of data on demand.
  • Provide immediate and/or on-demand analysis services as required
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal clients
  • Work within projects teams, delegate work and follow up to ensure progress is made as anticipated; work to remove roadblocks and guide team members with your experience and knowledge in areas of your expertise; may act as a project manager occasionally
  • Proactively strive for the highest levels of data reliability
  • Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve technical issues
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of relevant technology
  • Monitor and manage infrastructure and systems
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications and system management tools
  • Proactively strive for the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability internally and for our customers; schedule outages in advance to optimize system user experience
  • Maintain security, antivirus, backup and redundancy solutions
  • Code and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned or prudent

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree and/or technology certifications is preferred
  • Construction industry experience is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with support and report development using Viewpoint Vista by Trimble ERP
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL databases
