Viking Distribution is a family-owned and operated building material supplier located in East Providence Rhode Island. We provide a variety of quality products to local builders, contractors, and developers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to cultivate new business and provide top notch service.

Job Overview
Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Examples of Outside Sales Representative duties and responsibilities include:

• Prospecting for new clients and developing relationships with them
• Schedule and perform product demonstrations with potential customers
• Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
• Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively upsell to customers.
• Meeting sales quotas and closing sales agreements
• Monitoring customer, market, and competitor activity

Experience

• Previous experience in outside sales or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer relationship.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
