We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team in a dynamic clinic environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting optometrists with various tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our optometry office. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, customer service, and knowledge of optical practices.
Duties
- Assist optometrists during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests, including taking vital signs and conducting basic eye tests.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following aseptic techniques.
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and handling patient inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options.
- Support the inventory management of optical supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system to assist in patient assessments.
