Day Supervisor
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Day Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of Life Skill Coaches including groupings, implementation of planned activities, overseeing community outings and documentation. The Day Supervisor will develop and implement schedules and IP program goals that meet the individual’s needs. The Day Supervisor will fulfill the responsibilities of a Life Skill Coach within the program, when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROGRAM DESIGN
- Works with staff and Program Manager to design and implement a plan of activities that meets the groups and/or individual group member’s needs, interests, and IP goals. Ensures that the activity schedule is implemented as planned daily.
- Develops weekly schedules for LSC to implement on a day-to-day basis
- Develops order lists that works with schedules, to have equipment and resources available for LSC on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversees alternative sites/programs when co-workers need assistance or not available
- Responsible for overseeing programmatic agency policy and procedures and act with notification to Program Manager.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community contacts, family members, and residential providers to enhance satisfaction with services.
- Follows program policy regarding emergency procedures and staff call outs.
- Ensures that a safe, accessible, and respectful environment exists.
- Attends designated staff meetings, in-services, and seminars.
- Oversees program maintenance and office supplies. Requests refills, as necessary.
- Reports any maintenance concerns to Program Manager
- Creates and implement IP program goals for LSC to use on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensures that required communication and documentation to meet agency and state standards and guidelines are completed.
- Oversees staff documentation for accuracy including but not limited to Progress notes, program data, activity schedules and behavior collection.
- Maintains accurate daily attendance of individuals. Verifies that Progress notes match attendance records.
- Works with Program Manager on completing IP and semi documentation and attends IP meetings as needed.
INDIVIDUAL SPECIFIC
- Maintains knowledge of all individual programs, including individual program protocols, behavior programs, IP programs and goals.
- With input from the Director, Program Manager and Social Worker, works with team members in the implementation of appropriate behavioral management techniques and programs to improve an individual’s ability to participate in community settings.
- Responsible for transporting individuals to and from program as needed.
STAFFING
- Responsible for day-to-day supervision of assigned coach(s) to ensure that staffing and ratios comply, within the building and for community outings. Responsible for assigning individuals not attending outings to alternate groups and/or during staff absences.
- Works with staff to develop and assist individuals in identifying and making choices about their social, recreational, and behavioral goals
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Monday-Friday 37.5 hours (8a-4p)
Salary : $24 - $26
