The Waterford School IT Department is seeking a full-time Helpdesk/AV Technician. The Helpdesk/AV Technician will be responsible for providing Tier 1 hardware and software support for faculty, staff, parents, and students. The Helpdesk/AV Technician will diagnose and resolve problems that include but are not limited to technology involving: laptop and desktop computers, TVs and monitors, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, and assorted issues with online platforms such as Google Workspace and Canvas LMS. The Helpdesk/AV Technician will be primarily responsible for setting up, running, and supporting users with assorted AV related presentations in various rooms across our campus. A motivated, and reliable candidate who is eager to learn will do well in our department.
Competencies and Skills Desired
- A 2-year technical degree
- 2 years of helpdesk experience
- AV experience
- CompTIA A certification or comparable
- Strong familiarity with macOS
- Google Workspace, Admin, Chromebook expertise
- Strong troubleshooting/diagnosing skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages/technical levels
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
