We are currently seeking a Project/Service Manager to join the team as a member of our growing Austin, Texas Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop detailed design/build cost estimates
- Develop and oversee strategies, project activities and resource requirements specific to project execution
- Develop scopes of work for both subcontracted items and self-performed work
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules
- Serve as primary point of contact with customer during construction
- Coordinate monthly reviews with Accounting Department to review project-to-date costs, cost forecasts and progress billings.
- Be responsible for project safety and closely coordinate safety programs with company Safety Director
- Transition project from execution to strategic Operations & Maintenance or Measurement & Verification
- Document project and resolve customer service support and billing issues
- Mitigate risk on behalf of the company
- Deliver accurate and timely business reports
- Assist business development team in responding to requests for proposal and bid process
- Mentor and manage team members and subordinates as directed by management
- Assume financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely and relevant reporting to senior management
- Facilitate invoice payments from clients and to subcontractors
- Review and approve of subcontractor progress billings
- Prepare client and subcontractor change orders
- Develop subcontracts and purchase agreements
- Monitor and manage RFI and change order log
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in design/build cost estimating, construction management, commercial building process.
- Financial acumen
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Power Point.
- Experience with construction financial & accounting programs such as COINS.
- BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study required.
- Five (5) years of project management experience in engineering and construction, experience with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
- PE, CEM, CPM, LEED professional designations are a plus.
