Job Summary/Basic Function
The Health Sciences (HTHS) Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Course Specialist will collaborate with the CE coordinator under the direction of department leadership in the management of HTHS CE courses and the evaluation of CE instructor compliance to department and university standards. The person filling this position must be able to travel to HTHS CE high school partners on a continual basis, assess CE instruction practices, and provide feedback and support to ensure proper delivery of HTHS CE course content to students.

The HTHS CE course specialist with be tasked with the following:

The HTHS CE course specialist with be tasked with the following:
- Orient new CE instructors to HTHS CE courses and provide direction for course setup and proper utilization of course resources (Visible Body, lab manual, etc.) in the classroom.
- Conduct and document Canvas observations prior to site visits.
- Complete CE classroom site visits and submit site visit reports to MyCE in accordance with accreditation requirements.
- Alert CE coordinator and course director to evidence of CE instructor non-compliance to dept. and/or university CE standards.
- Provide feedback/correction to CE teachers for maintaining course integrity, congruency, and rigor.
- Timely communication of CE instructor feedback to CE coordinator and course directors.
- Participate in lab tours and other dept. and college related events as needed.
- Serve on select committees as invited and permitted by department leadership.
- Create and upload working hours log and description to Box folder at the end of each pay period.
- Attend and participate in department staff meetings, committee meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Stay current on required employee trainings and performance reviews.
- Other duties as determined by the CE coordinator and/or Dept. Chair.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in health science or related field.
Experience in the healthcare industry.
Enthusiasm for and familiarity with Weber State University and The Department of Health Sciences
Experience in the healthcare industry.

Must be able to make occasional visits during school hours to high schools in the Salt Lake, Ogden, and Logan areas
Competency with word processing, spreadsheets and basic online Learning Management Systems (Canvas)

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Health Science Courses (Associate of Science in Health Sciences preferred)
Experience in public schools
Experience with Canvas
Experience with Dual/Concurrent Enrollment
