Our Ideal Candidate
Our mission is to deliver cost containment and billing accuracy for our clients, which include self-insured employers, unions, TPAs, and brokers. The ideal Vice President of Sales will have a proven track record in Group Health and will deeply understand the self-insured market, unions, TPAs, and broker networks. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with key clients. You will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to grow WellRithms' presence in the Group Health medical bill review market.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting performance goals and providing coaching to achieve targets.
- Drive the sales process from lead generation through closing, including contract negotiations and final agreements.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with self-insured organizations, unions, TPAs, Taft-Hartley Plans, and brokers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted stakeholder advisor.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, data analysis) to create compelling value propositions and sales presentations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new service offerings.
- Regularly report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and progress toward sales goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the Group Health market, with a strong understanding of the self-insured market.
- Demonstrated historical success working with unions, TPAs, and brokers, with specific examples of closed deals and revenue growth.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and capitalize on opportunities.
- Experience leading and managing a sales team with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
