Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of plant management, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to manage supply chain activities effectively. The Plant Manager will lead a team of skilled technicians (machine builders, electricians, panel builders), and work closely with senior management to achieve operational and corporate goals.
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining a safe working environment (including training and standards, OSHA, LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.).
- Ensuring efficient, timely, and within budget deliverables.
- Ensuring project quality and performance goals are achieved (including ISO checkpoints, project SOW) and requirements are met.
- Developing staffing plans that address volume and resource needs (including recruiting, hiring, training, delegation, appraisals, policy and separation).
- Procuring and maintaining company assets (including tools, equipment, vehicles and consumables).
Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in plant management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in production management, including planning, scheduling, and quality control processes.
- Experience in supply chain management and operations management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
