William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital is a state-operated psychiatric facility located in Weston, WV.
General Description
Under the supervision of the program director for the Transitional Living Facility the social worker will provide clinical functions which include admission and discharge functions, assessments, case management duties, consultation, implementation of treatment programs, implementations of treatment plan assignments, linkage with community resources to ensure consumers meet targeted treatment and community integration goals. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.
Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis & breath analysis drug screening test. Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check. All employees are subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. This is a tobacco free campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, Human Services, Education, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Licensure/Certifications: Eligible for Temporary Social Work License OR Licensed as a Social Worker, Graduate Social Worker, Provisional Social Worker, or Certified Social Worker by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience performing social work in a healthcare setting, working directly with individuals.

Pay: $44,850.00 - $74,750.00 per year
