Job Description Summary:
The Enterprise Environmental Safety Occupational Health (EESOH) Technician supports ISO, environmental, safety, and occupational health aspects of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise (EAGLE) services contract. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with governmental regulations while providing leadership in safety, environmental management, and occupational health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of ISO compliance and assist in establishing internal processes/controls for environmental, safety, and health programs.
- Provide site safety leadership and ensure facility compliance with safety standards, installation regulations, and policy letters.
- Implement safety directives to enhance safety performance and ensure alignment with governmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with managers and supervisors at all levels, providing thorough knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations.
General Duties:
- Conduct regular safety assessments and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans for various scenarios.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure effective implementation of safety and environmental initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices related to safety, environmental management, and occupational health.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of applicable OSH, ANSI, and NFPA regulations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to support ISO compliance efforts and establish internal processes/controls.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations, with the ability to ensure facility compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with managers and supervisors at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
