We are seeking a Clinician/Training Facilitator for the Service Member Veteran and Family (SMVF) and SSG Gordon Parker Fox SPGP Division of our organization:

Responsibilities and Duties of Clinician/Training Facilitator

• Collaborate with community Veteran agencies, organizations, schools, neighborhoods, and other organizations to identify needs, resources, and program priorities.
• Assist the SMVF Regional Navigator and SSG Fox SPGP Team in planning, implementing, and evaluating culturally appropriate and sensitive prevention education programs for Veterans and their families. Most notably with the subject matter expertise of clinical support with suicide prevention and Mental Health services.
• Set forth the Training initiatives of the SMVF program in meeting the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant priorities, and linking Veterans to the best possible Healthcare Services and other stressor reducing programs for Veterans and their families.
• Participate in information dissemination activities and on-line and in-person group workshop facilitation, providing suicide prevention education, substance abuse, tobacco use, and mental health information, and educational programs, vocational programs, and employment services.
• Maintain documentation regarding Suicide Prevention program implementation data, including participation, number and content of programs and activities, and evaluation of the data.
• Maintain a working knowledge of other community resources and service and support programs for Veterans and their families. Any experience with VA/VHA services is a plus.
• Assist other Prevention staff in providing Prevention programs, resources, and other family, and community and youth issues.
• Assist the SMVF Regional Navigator in areas related to program planning or outcome measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the SMVF Regional Navigator.

As per the requirements of the SSG Gordon Parker Fox Program this position will not provide direct Clinical services to our Clients, but act as an advisor for Clinical Supports and Services for our Veterans and their families to the entire SMVF/SSG Fox SPGP Team.

Qualifications of Clinician/Training Facilitator:

The candidate at entry level must have, through a combination of education and work experience, the knowledge, skills, and abilities as below

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in human service field (including but not limited to Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or equivalent).

Must be a Licensed or Licensed Eligible Clinician.

• Candidate MUST be a Veteran, Dependent or Spouse of a Veteran.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license at time of employment and availability of personal transportation for on-the-job use as needed.
