Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Applications Administrator to join our Information Technology department! The IT Applications Administrator is responsible for assisting with and supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of software applications using best practices to ensure secure, reliable, and available systems. They provide technical support functions that relate to application availability, security, redundancy, and connectivity and provide oversight on training to users throughout the organization. The IT Applications Administrator provides administration, documentation, and support to enable required notification parameters, reporting, and integration. The IT Applications Administrator applies significant professional experience and training in information technology to the most complex assignments requiring development and installation of software applications and information systems. The IT Applications Administrator works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Information Technology. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains current knowledge with respect to software applications, application security, and end user application experience;
- Monitors and adjusts systems to achieve optimum performance levels;
- Assists in the administration of network accounts using Active Directory, network and application policy management, and other Network Operating Systems working with the Systems and Network Administrators as a team;
- Plans and performs software installations and upgrades;
- Works with other system Administrators to maintain operating systems and layered software applications as needed;
- Supports system software and application software residing on network file servers and end-user workstations;
- Provides support for software, assists with end user training plans, and user inquiries;
- Enters and maintains issues and request documentation in a standard tracking database;
- Establishes priorities for application modifications and requests;
- Provides for thorough follow-through and resolution of complaints or problems received from patients, staff, other departments, administration, or medical staff;
- Installs, configures, and maintains applications, workstations, ensuring proper integration with other WWH computer systems;
- Works collaboratively with WWH Security Officer, the IT Team, and end users to provide a secure application environment;
- Provides prompt and courteous feedback from requestors of application and/or computer services;
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and,
- Other duties as assigned.
