Position Overview
Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is seeking a Concierge Services Supervisor to lead our dynamic Campus Concierge Team. This role oversees Starfish Pointe, our on-campus retail store, the Courtesy Desk, and The Hoy Center Healthcare Reception Desk. This position is integral to providing exceptional customer service and operational efficiency in a collaborative environment.
This hands-on leadership role involves staff scheduling, hiring, performance management, and budgeting, with occasional front-line coverage to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Hire, schedule, and manage the performance of the Campus Concierge Team, ensuring 7-day coverage.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee budgets for Concierge Services and Starfish Pointe.
- Safe Deposit Box Management: Oversee safe deposit box access and files, coordinating with the CFO.
- Mailbox Coordination: Manage resident in-house mailboxes and USPS mailbox changes.
- Administrative Support: Assist departments with projects assigned by the General Services Operations Manager.
- Resident Directory: Coordinate and produce annual resident directories.
- Point-of-Sale (POS) Management: Oversee Full Count and POS systems, collaborating with Finance on reporting.
- Resident Database Oversight: Manage social census reporting and maintain accurate records in the health information system.
- Google Sheets Management: Update and manage Google Sheets groups.
- Concierge Services: Manage guest room reservations, dry-cleaning vendor coordination, and other concierge services.
- Retail Operations:
- Purchase, price, and display merchandise, including groceries, health & beauty items, and gifts.
- Monitor stock turnover, expiration dates, and merchandise displays.
- Conduct and manage ongoing and annual inventory.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Education: College degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
- Experience:
- Leadership and supervisory experience required.
- Customer service, concierge service, and retail sales experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Administrative and organizational expertise.
- Appearance: Neat, clean, and professional.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs and perform physical tasks associated with daily operations.
