Wilbarger General Hospital, Vernon, TX is seeking a part time Nutrition Aide/Cook/Cashier for our Nutrition Services Department.
Job Summary: Prepares nutritional food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Assist in the requisition of food and supplies. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment. Performs cashier duties. Helps maintain the cleanliness of utensils and equipment in the kitchen and service area.
Job Qualifications:
A. Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
B. Personal Job-Related Skills: Ability to read and write.
C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required.
D. Experience:
1. Prior work experience: One year of previous institutional food preparation preferred.
2. Technical Training: None required.
E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Position requires extended periods of walking and standing. Some bending, stooping, and reaching for food items and equipment. Pushing and pulling of food carts and lifting up to 50 pounds required. The ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions or directions.
