X-Ray Technologist PRN
Radiology Xray
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited radiation sciences or radiology technology program (required)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification (required)
- Previous experience working as a radiology technologist (preferred). We will accept newly registered graduates.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (required). Must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period.
About the Job:
- Obtain Radiographic Images of diagnostic quality, while adhering to departmental standards and protocols
- Maintains a high quality standard of Imaging excellence in all areas of the radiology department
- Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes
- Prepares examination room, equipment, and instruments per patient needs
- Operates x-ray machine according to established procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Follows relevant safety and sanitation guidelines
- Documents patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
- Demonstrates technical expertise, knowledge of anatomy, safety consciousness, manual dexterity, clerical accuracy, and verbal ability.
- May be required to cover inpatient or outpatient areas to include off-site diagnostic locations.
