Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into criminal activities, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Enforce laws and maintain public order by patrolling assigned areas and responding to emergencies.
- Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and interactions with the public.
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations and ensure safety.

Starting Pay Rate for a Detention Division Deputy (amount subject to change)
$25.36
Starting Pay Rate for a TN P.O.S.T. Field Division Deputy (amount subject to change)
$26.36
These additions are OFFERED but NOT included in the pay rates above:
Shift Differentials- 3rd shift = $0.86
Education Incentive- (For Deputy Positions) Associate’s Degree = $0.36 Bachelor’s Degree = $0.72
Experience Pay- (For Sworn Positions) 2% a year up to 5 years
Employer paid Life Insurance: $50,000

Optional coverage for spouse & dependents is offered at a cost to the employee
