Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning and managing all aspects of nursing operations, including setting priorities and job assignments, in collaboration with management staff, Administrator, and Consultants.
- Monitor each unit’s activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist with coaching and discipline as necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the medical team.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure nursing care delivery, effective coordination with support services, cleanliness, and the overall well-being of residents and staff.
- Manage and coordinate administrative functions in programs related to Nursing Services.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN or LPN State License. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or similar healthcare setting.
- Supervisory experience and a strong foundation in teaching principles are required.
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
- Must have the knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to residents.
- A commitment to teamwork, exemplifying collaboration and support among colleagues.
- Familiarity with nursing practices, medical procedures, and relevant regulations for nursing care facilities is essential.
