Orleans Niagara BOCES/ Workforce Development Center is looking for a PT Machine Tool CNC/Programming Teacher. Anticipated initial assignment is to be at the Workforce Development Center, Niagara Falls, NY.
The individual will provide instruction to adult students regarding the fundamentals of manual machining using mills and lathes as well as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) in a newly created training laboratory in Niagara Falls.
The state of the art facility is designed to provide students with current and trending skills and abilities in the field of advanced manufacturing.
The program is scheduled to run three (3) evenings a week for a 4-month session from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a total of 160 hours.
The individual must be able to instruct on theory and provide practical workplace hands-on opportunities.
The candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Machine Tool and CNC manufacturing field and be able to follow a set curriculum and content specific course outline in the various areas of machining, tools and equipment required for the career.
The individual must have the ability to perform oversight of individual student work, evaluation of progress, and forging a solid working knowledge required in the workplace.
Individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire.
It is anticipated that an individual would qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops.
Prior teaching experience is desired.
Regular attendance and dependability is required.

The assignment is subject to change.
Anticipated Salary: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour.
