Duties
- Provide grooming services for various breeds of dogs and other pets, including bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Handle pets safely and calmly during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and minimizing stress.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the grooming facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dog handling or pet care is preferred
- 2 years of experience required
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Experience in pet sitting, kennel management, or dog training is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
