Founded in 1977 by social workers and parents concerned about the challenges faced by new immigrants in Chinatown, Wu Yee Childrens Services (Wu Yee) has grown to a city-scale ...agency serving diverse families throughout San Francisco, and is now the citys largest provider of Early Head Start. The phrase "wu yee" means "caring for children" in Cantonese, and children are at the heart of everything we do. Wu Yee's mission is to create opportunities for children to be healthy, for families to thrive and for communities to be strong.
