What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Project Engineer, Entertainment, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of all power systems related to our broadcasting operations. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, broadcast technology, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that all power systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Lead the power entertainment department, providing strategic direction and oversight for all power-related projects and initiatives.
• Design and implement power systems for broadcast facilities, including transmitter sites, studios, and remote locations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols related to electrical systems and broadcasting.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate power engineering solutions into overall broadcast operations.
• Manage projects and resources for power entertainment jobs, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Conduct regular assessments of existing power systems and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in broadcast power engineering.
  
  

Education/Experience

• The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree required. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 10 years of experience in power engineering, with 5 years in a role within the broadcasting or telecommunications industry.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of broadcast transmission systems, power distribution, and renewable energy solutions.
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering projects and teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  
  

Environment

Environmental Job Requirements:

• Your time will be a mix of office and field responsibilities. Much of your time may be spent sitting (at a computer, in a car, etc.)
• While in the field, you will encounter customer site environments which may be extremely hot (over 90 degrees) or cold (less than 40 degrees).
• Environments may include vibrations, strong odors, moving mechanical parts, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents, and walking on gravel/uneven ground.
  
  

Physical

• Will require appropriate Personal Protection Equipment to be worn.
• Requires ability to lift, carry, and lower 50 Lbs.
• Requires ability to push/pull, reach, bend/twist, etc., as well as crouch, stoop, squat, kneel/crawl, and climb/step.
  
  

Travel

• Typically requires travel 95%-100% of the time to meet entertainment project demands.

You should possess proven experience managing large-scale engineering projects and teams, as well as excellent problems solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this position as well.
